"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style"

-- Maya Angelou

Jasmine Joel, Transformative Life Coach, helping clients live authentically
Thirteen Years Ago,
Everything Changed.

I was working in the corporate world, feeling very lost and struggling to find my own voice. And then something incredible happened - I watched a very good friend of mine accomplish something I had thought to be impossible. It fundamentally changed my mind and I began to ask myself  "If she can do this, maybe I can too?" It occurred to me - the key mind-set difference between her and I was that she simply BELIEVED it was possible for her. That realization was a game-changer for me.

After that I began to take more risks and step towards the things in life that I truly wanted. The questions kept coming as well as my zest for seeking answers in every self-help book I could find.  I loved this type of inquiry so much that it lead to me becoming dedicated to my own self-transformation. Through this process I found Life Coaching.

During lockdown in 2020 I decided there could never be a better time to finally take the step toward my goal of becoming a Life Coach and helping others along their path.  In 2022 I completed my certification from the Martha Beck Wayfinder Life Coach Training Program.

Working on my Life Coaching business has turned out to bring more joy into my life than I had imagined. I'm so excited to see how journey will unfold.

Beginning my journey at forty-five with more life experience helped me become a better Massage Therapist + Life Coach.

For the past thirteen years, I’ve dedicated myself to my craft as a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage for professional athletes. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with elite teams including the Portland Timbers (2015-2018), Portland Thorns (2016-2018), and Portland Trail Blazers (2018-2023). This exciting and challenging work took me around the world, collaborating with talented professionals throughout the sports industry while experiencing diverse cultures and destinations.

Working at this elite level exposed me to leaders and change-makers across all levels, forcing me to grow in unexpected ways. I witnessed firsthand the critical importance of effective leadership within athletic teams, coaching staff, and entire organizations—which sparked my deep interest in both leadership and personal transformation. The most successful leaders consistently operated from a foundation of vulnerability, courage, and compassion with their teams. My practice focuses on how we can become better leaders and transform ourselves by embracing authenticity, vulnerability, empathy, courage, and compassion. Leading and living from this authentic place empowers us to create positive change within ourselves, our communities, and ultimately the world.

My Favorite Things:

Being in nature around plants and animals feels like home to me. For over twenty years I have been an avid gardener and steward of plants.

Story-telling. I've been a writer and a story-teller since I was a young child. The last few years I have taken myself more seriously to this task and am currently working on several writing projects.

Self-Coaching. Most of my off-time is spent working on my own personal growth journey. I have a passion for learning and a strong desire to keep evolving in my understanding of myself and of the world around me.

Being a Transformative Life Coach. I absolutely LOVE the challenging conversations and holding space for someone in finding their own unique version of a empowerment.
